SentinelOne was pretty good, but in my experience Huntress has been outperforming it. It takes some time in the beginning to manage your whitelists, and will break many things at first, but once you have your whitelist it’s much less time consuming. ThreatLocker we have on our computers and a select amount of client’s because it locks everything down and makes it nearly impossible to execute unapproved software. They even produce monthly security articles and apply our branding to it, so we can then disseminate it to our clients, which I feel like is important and let’s them know that even though they don’t see it, there’s work being done all the time behind the scene, and makes them feel better about paying for our services. The dashboard makes it incredibly easy to manage and having a 24/7 on the clock team monitoring for us is a big relief and a big selling point to clients.
We’ve had SentinelOne, Webroot, and now currently use Huntress on everything with ThreatLocker on a small number of our clients and on ourselves. Let me know if you'd like introductions or assistance with your cybersecurity stack. My suggestion is to keep BD and just occasionally run MB to ensure there's nothing lurking around. Bitdefender is an antivirus, Malwarebytes is just a malware detection program. Getting your cybersecurity via your RMM vendor isn't important in the grand scheme of things and I'd actually suggest going through a dedicated MSSP. Two antivirus solutions running on your phone at the same time may drain your battery. I'm not sure if they're including Vigilance in their pricing either atm.Īs /u/softwaremaniac said- I also recommend Huntress it's the best cybersecurity $3.50 or less can buy and we use it WITH S1 Complete+Vigilance+Ranger Pro.īitdefender Gravity Zone is pretty good although I have some hangups about it- I will say that if that better fits your capabilities and price point then it's a better option than Bidefender or Webroot and it does have Ninja integration which makes deploying a bit easier and you can get reporting in the console. Sentinel One is a good option, but use Complete not Control. We don't get any cybersecurity anything form our RMM vendor (which is also Ninja) and I would advise against using Bitdefender (Non GZ version) and Webroot. Once you get the hang of it it isn't so intimidating, but I suspect some MSP's could struggle with TL. Looking at those programs that have updaters here. You will need to dedicated some time each day to review the audit logs for DLL's and other such programs that are not user interactive and get denied. The support has been really good, but we have not had much need for it in a while.
They also have self paced "university" that trains you in all the different modules and also a certification exam if so desired. There is 24/7 live support that can help you walk through any rule problem you might have. Then their onboarding team has a bunch of sessions with you to review what should or should not be blocked.

Their business license is not their EDR solution however.I can only speak from my experiences, but I think the process should hold true for all their onboarding.įirst you install the agents at a location and put them in learning mode. BD is in the EDR/MTR field, but I don’t know enough to give you a true opinion. It’s all in what do you need and how much are you willing to pay for that next level of protection. If we were 200+ with site to site tunnels, mission critical servers running in our environment, etc we would have probably gone to a Sophos or Crowdstrike type platform. We are an SMB with about 40 endpoints but no on-site server so we went with BitDefender. If you’re needing true threat hunting and response capabilities then you’re moving into the Sophos realm, but the pricing goes up as well. Webroot was fine but went very bad a couple of years ago IMHO.
ago We came from bitdefender, went to webroot and have change to Sophos about 2 years ago. ago I would go bitdefender, s1 or sophos.

If depends on what you want, a robust A/V & endpoint control solution with a friendly/easy to use platform (gravityzone) and heuristics/machine learning then go with BitDefender. Even Windows Defender (Free) is better than Webroot.

I’ve always known of BD as a very powerful A/V & endpoint protection solution with some of the EDR bells and whistles, while Sophos Intercept goes full speed into threat hunting and remediation. Winner Get Bitdefender, now 67 OFF Malware protection Both providers have a set of tools for scanning and real-time protection.
